A little about Save-a-Pet
Gertrude Maxwell, founder of Save-a-Pet (www.saveapet.com). has dedicated 35 years to the problem of overpopulation of cats and dogs. She has saved over 85,000 lives and continues to work tirelessly toward the cause. The music festival is another way that Ms. Maxwell is continuing her efforts to bring this problem into the limelight.

OBJECTIVE

Purpose: To create an awareness of animal over populations and to make funds available to those that are unable to pay for the spaying and neutering of their pets. This event will bring a revitalization of the local economy thru a family oriented event built around Arts and Music. It will also create an affordable community event.

THEME

This community style event will feature a host of artisans from around the North Georgia and North Carolina area that will showcase their talents and wares. Also on site will be numerous local food vendors that will provide a taste of the area. Representatives from different animal based organizations will be on hand to speak, answer questions, and provide information with booths setup around the event. The musical acts are mainstay in the arena of classic southern rock. We will be holding a battle of the bands the top four bands will play on side stage on the day of the concert.
